Alt Rising

Long ago somewhere in the fast-food and pop culture haze of the 80s, our lead singer Eric was born out of fog machine smoke from the hair metal scene and quickly harnessed it to dive straight into the flannel depression of 90s grunge and math metal.  After a long silence and healing through the powerful arts of emo, old school American punk and the post-alternative mellow rock ancestral to today's music, he re-emerged to the cover music scene, seeking only loud music, die-hard rockers, a few drinks and one hell of a deep-track playlist!

Influences include anything Cornell, Tool, Fugazi, Queens of the Stone Age, System of a Down, Foreigner, Six Six Sputnik, Echo and the Bunnymen, Taylor Swift (but only Taylor's versions and not the COVID stuff or the proto-country stuff as much), Better Than Ezra, Third Eye Blind, the Beta Band and any song that can transport me to the years 1993-20001.

Matt's been playing since time immemorial!  Matt's been involved in original, tribute, and cover bands for decades!

Stefan is a seasoned guitar player with years of live experience, captivating audiences with both timeless covers and compelling original compositions. His performances are marked by an energetic blend of technical prowess and heartfelt expression. Whether reinterpreting classic tracks or unveiling fresh, innovative material, Stefan’s stage presence and musical versatility make him a standout talent. Constantly evolving and pushing creative boundaries, he continues to inspire fellow musicians and fans alike with his dedication to the art of guitar playing.

Jim Hale is a dynamic bass player with over 30 years of live performance experience. Known for his eclectic style, Jim draws inspiration from a diverse range of genres—from the soulful spirit of gospel to the edgy pulse of alternative rock. With Tool, Rage Against the Machine, and Rush among his favorite influences, he seamlessly blends intricate grooves with powerful rhythms.
